Do Quyen Waterfall via ferrata
A via ferrata straight across the face of a 300m waterfall in Bach Ma National Park. Not in Phong Nha, about four hours south, and the best non-cave adventure Jungle Boss runs.
From $295 (7.500.000 ₫) · 2 days / 1 night, Jungle Boss, transport from Hue included · checked June 2026
Is it worth it?
Worth it if you have already done a cave or two and want something that is not underground, or if you are heading to Hue or Da Nang anyway and can bolt it on. Skip it if Phong Nha is your only stop and you have under four days: the driving eats a day at each end. The bridge itself is the real thing, clipped to a steel line with the falls going past your shoulder.
Common questions
Is Do Quyen Waterfall in Phong Nha?
No. It is in Bach Ma National Park, roughly four hours south of Phong Nha and about ninety minutes from Hue. Jungle Boss runs it and sells it alongside their Phong Nha trips, which is why it appears here, but you cannot do it as a day trip from Phong Nha town.
Do you need via ferrata experience for Do Quyen?
No. You are clipped to a fixed steel cable the whole way and guides run the safety system. You need a reasonable head for heights and enough arm strength to hold yourself on a ladder, but no climbing background. If exposure genuinely frightens you, this is the wrong trip: the bridge crosses open air above the falls.
How does Do Quyen compare to the Phong Nha cave tours?
Different sport entirely. The cave trips are walking, swimming and scrambling in the dark; this is vertical, exposed and in full daylight with water everywhere. If you want one big adventure and you are choosing, most people should take a cave. If you want a second one that feels nothing like the first, take this.
