How we work with operators
We're an independent guide. That word means something: we do not take payment for editorial placement, we do not let any operator pre-approve a review, and we have said no to the dishonest version of this many times.
What we do
Cover every cave honestly, including the ones nobody pays us to cover.
Recommend Jungle Boss for non-Oxalis adventure caves where it's the right answer; this is editorial judgement, not payment.
Route Son Doong / Hang En / Tu Lan / Hang Va / Hang Tien leads to Oxalis because they hold the licences.
Disclose, plainly, in the footer that we may earn a referral fee on tour and accommodation enquiries that lead to bookings. No mystery, no commission disguised as editorial.
What we don't do
Take payment for a positive review or a higher list position.
Use the word "partner" on cave or tour pages; that obscures the independence readers need.
Suppress negative coverage. If a tour has a real safety issue or a real value problem, we say so, and we send you the proof first.
Publish anything we haven't checked. Every price stamps the month it was verified and we refresh quarterly.
If you'd like to be considered
If you run a cave tour, transfer service, farmstay or activity in Phong Nha and you'd like us to consider you for editorial coverage, send us:
- →Where you operate (caves, routes, areas)
- →Pricing (real, current, in VND)
- →Safety briefing and equipment (for adventure activities)
- →Insurance and licence status
- →Anything genuinely different about what you do
We will say no to most enquiries: capacity, focus, and the honest filter. Saying yes means writing about you in our voice, including the parts you might not love. Email below.
